How to use coconut oil?
Oily skin and dry skin with the onset of winter cold, brittle split hair, dry and reddened shoulders after a fifteen-minute meeting with the sun — this list goes on for quite a while. But the worst thing in this list is not the length, but the fact that the author of this article could well be a fat-flaky, burnt and split maned man, if he had not used his cosmetics in more than ten years to use his own arsenal of cosmetics and treatment techniques with them. I will be happy to tell you about one of these remedies, coconut oil. Coconut is not only useful, but also very photogenic (if you, of course, like strange hairy nuts) I. Butkovsky personal archive I am not an adherent of exclusively natural cosmetics – many laboratory beauty products also occupy significant places in my cosmetic bag. However, within the framework of the “all in one” concept, coconut oil simply has no equal. If there is a choice in front of me, which cosmetic product is one and only one, take it with me to a desert island, I will choose coconut oil. However, on the stereotypical uninhabited islands (to which islands do not belong, for example, the Barents Sea) coconut grows and so – its habitat is very wide: it can be found in tropical latitudes of the Pacific, Atlantic and Indian oceans. Russian tourists bring coconut oil, usually from Thailand, Cuba, Dominican Republic and India. However, many domestic brands have long made it possible to buy coconut oil in native middle latitudes – and this oil can be found both as part of cosmetics and in its pure form. Speaking of pure form, we mean unrefined coconut oil. That it is considered the most useful and, from experience, the way it is. However, the most inexpensive types of unrefined coconut oil may not be of very high quality – after all, in fact, this product can be produced almost at home, lowering both the cost and the quality of the product: sanitary and technological standards still exist not in vain , even if they lead to higher costs. So with the price category – from medium and higher, we decided (I will not give the price range, since for each region it will be quite individual: it goes without saying that in places where coconut grows and oil is produced from it, the cost of the product will be optimal) but there is no need to be afraid of white flakes formed in coconut oil, as well as its partial transition from a liquid to a solid state, since it has a rather high temperature at which the density changes. At a temperature of about 22 degrees Celsius, such changes are already possible, but they do not affect the properties. What are the properties of coconut oil? Coconut body oil is best used: When sunbathing. It protects the skin from dryness and helps to get a beautiful tan. Even if you are not taking a bath on the beach, but just wanting to walk under the city sun, coconut oil will be a great helper. One of the excellent properties of this oil is its rapid absorption: if you apply a small amount of it on open areas of the body, then very soon (in about half an hour) you will not be afraid that it will leave marks on the most elegant clothes. In this case, the skin will receive an additional power source and will help to do without tinting agents, shimmers and other decorative cosmetics – it will receive a soft shine and even shade anyway. But is it worth saying that, in any case, exposure to the sun should be limited to the time that is considered safe for meeting the ultraviolet and your skin type? After epilation. Coconut oil has good antiseptic properties – it will protect the skin from the appearance of irritations, and its moisturizing effect will immediately protect it from drying out. As a massage. As I already wrote, the oil is quickly absorbed and leaves no residue. For home massage is an important indicator. The pleasant smell of oil (in oil it is much lighter than that of food and perfume additives imitating it) is pleasant or, at least, does not irritate even the most severe to the smells of massage lovers. Coconut oil for the face I use, as a rule: As a mask. In this case, it is worth putting this oil on a clean steamed skin with a rather abundant layer, lie down (just lie down – do not walk, talk or chew) for fifteen to twenty minutes and blot the rest with a napkin. The advantages of such a use are: even complexion – small vessels and uneven skin tone disappear, and small mimic wrinkles are smoothed out. It is best to carry out this procedure a couple of times a week. As means for removal of cosmetics. This is an emergency option, but very convenient and effective. However, after that you should rub your face with a tonic or rinse with cool water. As sos-means. Coconut oil moisturizes and nourishes the skin: with winter irritations that bring us cold and dryness, this is an indispensable thing.
