How to make home summer refreshing gel masks?
In the summer, nature generously gives us many gifts. Of course, first of all they should be eaten, saturating the body with useful substances. In addition, fresh vegetables, herbs, fruits and berries are very tasty. Using them in sufficient quantities will certainly affect the appearance and fill the necessary energy. But much of what grows on the ground, bushes and trees, in the summer can be used outside. To become even more beautiful. Do you like cucumber juice? Take it as a basis for a gel mask.
You will not surprise any woman in such ways: each, probably, in her life tried to wipe her face with cucumber or with juice from it. Tried and berries, and different fruit juices. Only often it happens that there is a desire to use the berry mass / juice, but this mass does not want to be distributed over the face evenly, and most importantly: it is corny draining from the face. It is possible to thicken something with cosmetic clay or crushed oatmeal, for example. But you can make your own gel natural masks for the face, body and hair. The stores sell the so-called five-minute gel masks. They are applied at any time of the day, refresh and tone up, remove signs of fatigue and moisturize. They are very convenient and almost always have some kind of “natural” ingredient. The same cucumber or lemon, but you never know what else? The range is great. But in the composition of ready-made purchased masks a lot and unnecessary. Make a gel mask at home – from those products that you prefer. Do new every time, costs – the minimum, and the benefits – the maximum. In the summer, they are especially helpful, as they do not make the skin heavier at all, do not clog pores, refresh, act quickly and are easily washed off. Quick and easy to prepare. Make a mask can be based on the product that is right for you. Do you like cucumber juice? Take it as a basis. Or maybe tomato, raspberry? You can brew any grass, rose petals. Extracts add. An unmatched hair mask is obtained from algae extracts. Or aloe vera. Or lemon juice. There are many options. For the preparation of such masks need not be lazy, spend 50−100 rubles and purchase xanthan gum. Or guar. They are sold in any store of natural cosmetic additives or in the store for soap makers. Xanthan and guar are natural polysaccharides. Used in cooking to achieve a thick consistency (in yogurt, for example) and completely harmless. They are also actively used in cosmetology: as gelling agents (thickeners) of creams, masks, gels and home-made “production” shampoos. Recently, a special cosmetic guar has appeared – silk. So that the liquid taken as the basis of the mask (fruit / berries / vegetable juice, herb infusion, floral water, just water with aloe vera, and many others), is well thickened, xanthan (or guar) must first be dispersed, that is, mixed xanthan with a different powder mass (the same cosmetic clay) or dissolved in oil, for example (why not olive or grape seed oil, or any other?), mix well and then add to a slightly heated (36-40 degrees) warm liquid . The oil version works better. Next, stir well. You can manually, a wooden stick, but more convenient, of course, a mini-mixer. Lumps can remain, but do not be nervous, but you just have to put it all in the fridge for half an hour: the xanthan will finally disperse. Of course, stir again – and you’re done. All liquid additives (juices, extracts, etc.) should be added to the liquid part, after heating (you can just splash the boiling water, or you can warm it up in the microwave). All oil additives are added at the stage of mixing with xanthan. It is very good to take pure panthenol – a few drops, and to heal xanthan in it. And then add to the liquid phase. Who is harmful to the skin panthenol? Also in the summer? It perfectly acts on the skin, as well as on the surface of the hair (if you make a hair mask), and heals, as if it “smoothes out” all the microfractures that are not even visible yet. For example, dryness and burns from exposure to sunlight. In all known and time-tested pharmacy tools for sunburn (and other skin damage) there is panthenol. It is more correct to even say that panthenol is the basis of such means. Dosage. It is believed that xanthan (or guar) should be 0.5% – 2% of the total mass. That is, if you take 100 ml of a liquid base, then xanthanum needs about 0.5-2 mg. But “experience shows that everything comes with experience.” I always need a little more. By the way, xanthan can already be added as required and further, in almost ready weight. If it seems to you that it has healed badly, then it is not at all necessary to dissolve it again in oil, you can go right there, in an almost ready mask, then again in the cold for a while. And interfere, interfere at every opportunity. Xanthan has a good effect on the skin, moisturizes it, does not make it heavier, and promotes deep penetration of all the beneficial substances that are involved in the mask recipe. It also tightens pores and does not dry the skin.
